The following is a brief look at individual and team statistics for the USA at the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship.
Tables showing each player’s offensive performance, minutes played, and starter/substitute status for each match are included and discussed.
Also included are tables comparing the USA’s overall offensive and defensive performances per match.
For summaries of the USA’s matches during the tournament, see these two earlier articles:
- U-15 WYNT: The USA Defeats Jamaica 11-nil and Costa Rica 3-nil at the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship, which covers the USA’s first two group stages matches of the tournament, and
- U-15 WYNT: The USA Wins the 2024 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship, which covers the final group stage match against Haiti as well as the semifinal against Canada and the final against Mexico.
Also, for the full player roster, with hometown and club team details, see U-15 WYNT: Roster Announced for 2024 Concacaf Girls’ Under-15 Championship.
Note: In U.S. Soccer’s match report for the final against Mexico, the substitution time for when Alex Han was replaced by Bristol Kersh is not specified. That time is presumed to be half-time (36′ mark).
Goal-Scoring and Assists
The following table shows the official offensive performance for each player. The table is sorted first on the basis of total points (2 points for a goal and 1 for an assist) in descending order, and then by minutes played in ascending order. In other words, for two players tied on points with each other, the player that has fewer minutes played is ranked higher.

Individual Leaderboards for Goals and Assists
Caroline Reyna (6), Kendall Conway (5), Deus Stanislaus (3), and Mak Whitham (3), were the top-four scorers for the USA. Five other player score 2 goals, while 2 additional players each had a single goal.
Fourteen players officially contributed to the scoring, with 11 total players netting at least 1 goal, plus 3 other players earning at least 1 assist. Of the 11 players with goals, 8 had assists.
Of the midfielders and forwards, only forward KK Ream did not find the back of the net, though she did register 2 assists, including for the game-winner against Costa Rica.
Four players were tied for having the most assists for the USA: Mak Whitham, KK Ream, Bristol Kersh, and Maddie DiMaria each had 2 assists.
Goal Time Distribution
Over the five matches, the distribution of goals was relatively balanced, time-wise. Splitting the 70-minute matches into 4 quarters, here are the number of goals the USA scored (including the 2 own goals by Haiti):
- Start to 20′: 8 goals
- 21′ to 35’+: 9 goals
- 36′ to 55′: 6 goals
- 56′ to 70’+: 8 goals
That the opening 20 minutes of the second half had the fewest goals scored was probably to be expected due to substitutes adjusting to the match as well as the opposing team making defensive adjustments during the break.
(The reasons for splitting the halves at the 20′ mark are two-fold: First, the length of each half does not lend well to a clean split such as three 15-minute thirds per half in a normal 90-minute match. Also, cooling breaks were scheduled for about the 20 minutes into each half.)
Line-Ups and Substitutions
As this is a developmental tournament, with a requirement that each player has a minimum of 60 minutes as well as a ridiculously condensed schedule (5 matches over 7 days, with only 3 rest days), the distribution of minutes among the players has a limited value. However, there are some interesting nuggets worth mentioning.

Key: “S” indicates that the player was in the starting line-up for the match, “B” indicates that the player was a substitute, and a “–” indicates that the player was absent. For the “START COUNTS” columns, “TOTAL” is the total number of matches started, while “KO” is only the number of knock-out matches started (i.e., the semifinal against Canada and the final against Mexico).
Knock-Out Phase Starters
For the final two matches of the tournament, against Canada and Mexico, 7 out of the USA’s 10 field players started both matches: Defenders Elena Vera, Melia Brewer, and Taylor Morrell; midfielders Caroline Swann and Mia Corona; and forwards Carolina Reyna and Amari Manning.
Starters and Substitutions
Only 1 player started every match: Forward Amari Manning. With only 4 official forwards available in the first two matches due to the absence of Mak Whitham, it was a necessity to start one of them twice in those matches, absent using an defender (i.e., an outside back) or a midfielder as a starting forward.
Note: 7 substitutions were allowed per match, which over 5 matches, would be a total of 35. But, due to Mak Whitham being absent for the first two matches, the USA only had 33 possible substitutions during the tournament.
Substitution Timing: Of the 33 subs made during the tournament by the USA, 21 were made at half-time (36′ mark). None were made in the first-half of the match.

Outside back Meila Brewer played the most minutes, 280 (equivalent of 4 full matches). Four other players also had at least 240 minutes (equivalent of about 3.5 full matches). The median minutes per player was about 220, with 14 of the 18 players having a minimum of 198 total minutes. The two goalkeepers, Anne Fowler and Ella McNeal, each had 175 minutes, as they shared goalkeeping duties equally, with each playing a full half in every match. Midfielder Mia Corona, at 142, and Mak Whitham, at 140, had the fewest minutes.
Knock-Out Phase Minutes
Every player saw at least 35 minutes of action in one of the matches against Canada and Mexico, with all but 2 players being on the field for at least 35 minutes in both of those matches.
Only 1 player, Meila Brewer played the full 70 in both matches. Five additional players were on the field for at least three full halves (105 minutes or more): Carolina Reyna, Mak Whitham, Caroline Swann, Taylor Morrell, and Elena Vera.
