NWSL: 2025 USA TV/Streaming Schedule — Week 6, with Referee Assignments

Week Six of the National Women’s Soccer League’s 2025 regular season got underway early this week, with a match on Tuesday between the league’s two representatives in the the upcoming Concacaf W Champions Cup semifinals, the Portland Thorns and Gotham FC.

This weekend, there will be a full slate of seven matches.

Friday’s Prime Video match features the #2 Orlando Pride hosting #6 Angel City (8:00 p.m. EDT). Kicking off simultaneously on NWSL+ is a battle of the #10s: Houston Dash vs. Utah Royals.

Saturday’s lineup begins with the #3 Washington Spirit welcoming #4 Gotham FC to Audi Field at 1:00 p.m. EDT on CBS. (Compared to the Thorns, Gotham has the disadvantages of a travel day and one day between matches.)

Then, at 7:00 p.m. EDT, on NWSL+, the last-place North Carolina Courage host the first-place Kansas City Current, who are now the only team with a perfect record this season.

The ION doubleheader on Saturday night opens with the #7 San Diego Wave traveling to Illinois to face the #13 Chicago Stars (7:30 p.m. EDT). Then, in the second match, it’s a West Coast battle between the #8s: Bay FC and the Seattle Reign (10:30 p.m. EDT).

Sunday’s lone match is on NWSL+ and features the #5 Portland Thorns hosting #12 Racing Louisville at 4:00 p.m. EDT.

All seven matches this weekend can be watched via a streaming service, with just one match that can only be watched via a paid streaming service (Prime Video). Three matches will be shown via NWSL+, while two matches will be broadcast on the ION channel, which is available via free streaming services such as Tubi (tubitv.com) and PlutoTV (pluto.tv).

Saturday’s match between the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC will be shown on CBS, which, for those without a TV service provider or antenna reception, can also be streamed live using Paramount+ via the “…with Showtime” plan.

Notes

The ION channel is available on most standard cable and satellite packages. It can also be streamed free via a number of different streaming platforms (ION TV help page).

Matches aired on CBS may not be available in all local markets, as the local affiliate may sometimes show another sporting event.

For those in the USA, matches shown on CBS Sports Network may not have a standalone streaming alternative. Thus to view matches that will be shown on CBS Sports Network, one will need to have a TV service provider package that includes the CBS Sports Network channel.

The full schedule is available as a Google Sheets document (last updated on 17-Apr-2025).

The NWSL’s official schedule is at https://www.nwslsoccer.com/schedule/regular-season.

NWSL referee assignments are published each Wednesday during the season on the Professional Referee Organization (“PRO”) website: https://proreferees.com/category/assignments/nwsl-assignments/. At the present time, the PRO website is not optimized. Individual articles can be slow to load.
