U-17 USWNT: Goalkeepers (CONCACAF 2012)

The United States Under-17 Women’s National Team will be taking two goalkeeper to Guatemala for the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship: Jane Campbell of Kennesaw, Georgia, who has verbally committed to Stanford, and Carissa “Cassie” Miller of Cave Creek, Arizona, who has committed verbally to Florida State.

(CAROLYN) JANE CAMPBELL

Club Team: Concorde Fire South (ECNL)
College: Stanford (verbal, 2013)

Annoying Announcer Factoid:
Her parents are retired Navy pilots.

Notes & Notables: Attends a local boarding school where she trains with a private coach and the school’s boys team... One of two U-17 players who attended a special U-23 camp in October 2011… Part of a select ECNL (94/95) team that traveled to England in August 2011… Volunteered to help with a coach’s “C” license camp where she was seen by a US Soccer scout. A regular in US Soccer’s youth system since U-14 ID camp. Annoying Factoid Honorable Mention: She had a lot of dance training when she was younger.

Either her height, or the fact that she won the NFL’s Punt, Pass, and Kick competition…

Notes & Notables: Won the NFL’s Punt, Pass, and Kick competition for the 2009-2010 season (14/15 years-old girls)… Will be enrolling early at Florida State… Part of a select ECNL (94/95) team that traveled to England in August 2011… Also plays for her high school team… Has been actively involved in the US Soccer youth system since U-14 ID camp… One of four players on the team who participated in the 2010 U-16 Nordic Cup, which the USA won.
