Today, U.S. Soccer finally confirmed the teams and venues for the 2020 edition of the SheBelieves Cup, which will be hosted by the United States Women’s National Team. The other three teams will be England, Japan, and first-time participant Spain.
The Cup’s matches will be played on Thursday, March 5th; Sunday, March 8th; and Wednesday, March 11th. All USWNT matches will be televised live via ESPN channels (English language) and TUDN (Spanish language). Tickets officially go on sale on Friday, January 17th, although there will be a Visa cardholder “pre-sale” on Thursday, January 16th.All three guest teams have been notable opponents of the USWNT in a FIFA Women’s World Cup, as the USA faced both England and Spain in last year’s WWC (the semifinals, and Round of 16, respectively), plus, of course, Japan, who the USWNT faced in the final of both the 2011 and 2015 editions.
These three matches will be the USWNT’s first friendly matches of the year, as they have CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying, starting in late January. Should the USWNT qualify, three-ish of the four teams in this year’s Cup will be participants in the women’s soccer tournament at this year’s Summer Olympics: Japan (host), the United States, and England, who will provide the bulk of players for Great Britain’s squad (hence, the “-ish”).

Tickets: The first day that the general public can purchase tickets for this year’s Cup matches are Thursday, January 16th, starting at 10:00 a.m. EST, but only for Visa credit/debit cardholders (details).
