Notable absences:

Karina Maruyama (who scored the game winner against Germany) injured her knee last September during Asian qualifiers for the Olympics. (Japanese article on Maruyama).

Mana Iwabuchi, who was not in the recent combined camp (JFA article with rosters). She has a fractured fifth metatarsal in one of her feet and will be out for three months. I think the injury happened in January.

Norway’s roster did not list positions, so for 2011 WWC veterans, positions are taken from the FIFA.com roster. Positions for other players were grabbed from Wikipedia or their club team’s website.
