NCAA: Conference Championship Sunday Schedule (2019)

With the NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Tournament right around the corner, today is the last day to earn a spot in the 64-team bracket.  Of those 64 slots, 31 are automatic qualifiers, with most of those automatic slots being decided via conference championships.  The bracket for the NCAA tournament will be announced on Monday afternoon.

Although the marquee clashes of the day are #1 Virginia versus #3 North Carolina in the ACC Championship and #6 Arkansas versus #7 South Carolina in the SEC Championship, the match of the day (before Veterans Day) is Army vs. Navy.

The service academy squads will face off in the Patriot League championship to decide which team will earn a spot in the NCAA tournament bracket.  As Navy, who are coached by USWNT ’91er Carin (Jennings) Gabarra (Wikipedia, Navy bio), has an RPI rank of 98 and Army way farther down at 198, only the winner of this match will advance to the NCAA tournament.  That match will be televised live and online via Stadium (online live stream) at 1:00 p.m. Eastern.
