After extended negotiations between CONCACAF and FOX Sports for a multi-year and multi-event deal (FOXSports.com), on Monday, FOX Sports announced their airing schedule for the 2020 CONCACAF Women’s Olympic Qualifying Championship, which starts on Tuesday, January 28th (a/k/a, “the next day”).
Every match of the tournament will be aired live by a FOX Sports network: FOX Sports 1 (FS1), FOX Sports 2 (FS2), or FOX Soccer Plus.
For viewers with FS1, but not FS2 or FOX Soccer Plus, all USWNT matches should be available via FOXSports.com and the FOX Sports app (as long as one’s service provider and FOX Sports have a contract allowing access).
FOX Sport’s published schedule (PDF) for this tournament also includes actual kick-off times. (For those who want a handy printout of the tournament schedule, I highly recommend printing a copy of that PDF.) That schedule, in modified form, is republished at the end of this article.
Details on who will be the play-by-play announcers, on-air commentators, and sideline reporters have yet to be formally announced.
For those with access to TUDN XTRA,* Spanish language coverage of the USWNT’s first two matches will be available via TUDN XTRA 4, per U.S. Soccer’s website. Also, per their website, the USWNT’s match versus Costa Rica is listed as airing on TUDN. However, current TitanTV.com listings for February 3rd do not show the USWNT’s match. Details for the USWNT’s potential knock-out round matches are not yet available on USSoccer.com.
*TUDN XTRA requires having a cable/satellite/fiber package that has TUDN as part of its line-up and an agreement between TUDN and one’s multichannel service provider for access to the ‘XTRA’ line-up. See this BigSoccer.com thread for helpful information about TUDN XTRA.
